We visited CharmGang during that brief moment when their original space was under renovation, and they had transferred to BaanTrok. It felt a little like catching a good band in an unexpected venue: different room, same energy, and a small sense that you were there at just the right time.
The curries were bold, fragrant and properly Thai, with the kind of heat that slowly builds rather than immediately attacks. Everything we ordered was made for sharing, and the table became quiet in that familiar way when everyone is too busy going back for another spoonful.
It may have been a temporary home, but CharmGang still felt very much like CharmGang—loud flavours, good vibes, and food that makes you want to order more.
