Kirimaya: Where Nature Meets Luxury

From the moment we stepped into Kirimaya Golf Resort and Spa, it felt like we have been transported into a world where stress simply doesn’t exist. We came here for my wife’s birthday. The place was recommended by a work colleague and friend who simply loved this place because it calms her anxieties and allows her to bring her two cats to enjoy a good holiday.

The entrance is a serene mix of wood and stone, giving off this perfect balance of luxury and nature. You walk through airy spaces where the inside and outside feel connected, with the built design seamlessly integrating with the nature around that abounds. The front desk, for example, is an open space with lush views of Khao Yai’s rolling hills.

It’s quiet in the best way possible, like the kind of quiet that makes you want to take a deep breath and slow down. The architecture blends into the landscape so effortlessly that you almost feel like the buildings have grown out of the earth itself.

When we got to our room room, it was like stepping into a cocoon of calm. Huge windows looked out onto endless green, and the whole space was decked out in warm, earthy tones that just whispered “relax.” The bed? Soft and warm. The bathroom? Impeccably clean, with a rain shower and a tub for a good soak. And the best part? That private balcony. We spent a solid chunk of our time out there, just watching the trees sway and listening to the birds.

Dinner at Acala Restaurant, the resort’s feature restaurant, was the kind of experience that makes you want to linger and just sit there, even when the food is all long gone and done. The staff were so on point, always there when you needed them but never hovering.

The restaurant itself was open-air, so you’re dining with a view of the golf course and the mountains in the background, which is already pretty magical. While the food is not that phenomenal, the scenery and the service makes up for every little disappointment you might have.

And then there’s the nature! Kirimaya is hugged by Khao Yai National Park, one of Thailand’s protected areas, and you can feel it in the air. It’s so quiet and peaceful that the rustling of the trees and the occasional birdcall become the soundtrack of your stay. Every morning, I’d wake up to mist rising over the hills, and by afternoon, the sun would cast this golden glow over the entire landscape.

The team at Kirimaya is the kind that makes you feel like you’re more than just a guest—they make you feel like family. Staff were welcoming, without being overbearing. Staff anticipates what we need even before we ask. Whether it was a quick question about the best trails nearby or transport and dinner arrangements, they responded quickly and always made us feel like nothing was too much trouble.

Walking around the resort, I felt completely connected to nature—like I could breathe deeper, see things more clearly, and just be. It’s the kind of place that leaves you feeling lighter when you leave, like you’ve just spent a few days living in harmony with the earth. Leaving Kirimaya wasn’t easy, but I left feeling completely refreshed.

We will surely come back!
