Random Find: Chata Specialty Coffee in Bangkok

One of my past-times in Bangkok, Thailand’s capital city, is to go around the city by public transport and walk around to nearby places surrounding the train stations. I just practically use a random stop, then just alight from the station and just walk around.

One time I had the chance to go around YaoWarat, using Wat Mangkot MRT station as my takeoff point. Instead of heading towards the old Chinatown direction, I decided to just go the opposite direction. And there I found Chata Specialty Coffee.

It’s within the front lawn of what seems to be an old house. The cafe has three sitting/dining areas – the main store where the service counter and crew are joyfully milling around, the secluded room at the back of the house which also doubles as a meeting palce, and the modest front lawn ground where an old tree stands. I chose the second, because the main cafe was full, and I didn’t want to sweat under Bangkok heat while sipping Caramel Macchiato.

Food. Quite okay.

Cakes. Definitely a try.

Coffee. Suave and gentle to the stomach.
