There’s a reason why The Season Sunset Bar at the Cliff Lipe Resort attracts visitors despite its distance from the island’s main thoroughfares. It is quite a travel, whether by foot or by taxi (what we call in the Philippines as tricycles) especially at night.
But nights are the best times to spend at the bar, especially with this view:

The resort’s website is right to say that sitting just on the tables in the restaurant, adjoining the bar, and overlooking the sea, is a highlight already in itself. And the view gets better as dusk turns to evening. Wooden platforms, trees, and lights that come from every little nook make the stay relaxing.

And the food and drinks do not disappoint. We had mussels bathed in cheese and oysters ceviche for starters. Our main course consisted of grilled porkchop and grilled prawns. All were really good, and probably the best food we had in the island.

Was it worth the trip?
Definitely.
Recommended?
Of course.
