Our second day in Baguio and we were looking for a good place to have lunch. Somebody recommended Hill Station, and so we just went without a reservation. It was already past 2 pm, so we reckoned it would be alright. But it was still full. Good that somebody bailed out, that we really got the best seat of the house – a table for four overlooking the window.

The weather was around 18 degrees, it was just perfect for us. We had a hard time choosing from the extensive menu, but finally settled for our usual suspects – Tuna Tataki and Hill Station Garden salad for starters, Prawns Peri-peri for my daughter, Slow Roast Beef for my son, Moroccan Spiced Baby Backribs for my wife, and Rack of Lamb for me. All were perfect.

As you can see from above, it was a kaleidoscope of colours and flavours. Each one has its distinct taste. The Tuna Tataki was a winner, that we ordered a second helping when our main course arrived.
The place is still well kept, despite the years. The crew were very attentive. Kudos to tha Kuya who gave us our table. It was one of our best meals while in the city.

The decor was very festive and it felt like Christmas (well, it was Christmas) – from the curtains, to the chairs, to the lights and the real poinsettias on the side. We stayed for a couple of hours to have room for dessert. Coffee was good, the cake was decadent, and the ice cream was smooth.

Thank you Hill Station! Till next time!
