There are some days that I really just get crazy, like visiting three coffee shops in a day to sample their best concoctions. Today is one of these days. I went around (thanks to the BTS and MRT) to be able to accomplish this feat that some people will consider crazy.
Coffee Shop 1: Crazy About
Location: near Ekkamai BTS Station (Pale Green Line)
This one is a small cafe just a stone-throw away from Ekkamai Station. This is very near my daughter’s international school. Quite trendy in terms of interiors. Coffee is good. Place showcases earth colors. Just beside the main street but not noisy. I got also an Eggs Benedict and it was fairly decent.

Coffee Shop 2: Taiban
Location: Near Hua Lamphong MRT Station (Blue Line)
This is a community space more than a cafe where workshops, performances, and exhibits are held. The space is artsy and homey at the same time and the crew are knowledgeable with their coffee. Good desserts, nice vibe. It sits right at the lobby of a famous hotel – the Tamni. Wood. Concrete. Greenery. Just perfect.

Coffee Shop 3: 350 Station
Location: Near Wat Mangkon MRT Station (Blue Line)
I find this cafe scary and eclectic at the same time. Repurposed building, antiques and collectibles, and dark lighting. Coffee and food is good. Small but spacious interiors. But I just felt that there are spirits roaming around the space. I opted to stay at the second floor – and there is a bed in there, in the middle of the dining area. I just can’t imagine staying here at early evening when you are just all alone. 🙂

Bangkok’s coffee culture is pretty alive, and the design of the cafes, as you can see above, is impressive. To be honest, I still have a hundred one on my list and so I hope I will have a longer assignment here so I can visit all of them.
Amen.
