Nola: Art Cafe and Bar in Hanoi

Written by:

After a hearty dinner at one of the restaurants in the Old Quarter, in Hanoi, Vietnam, my son wanted to have cocktails, while my wife and daughter wanted milktea/sweet drinks, and I wanted to have coffee. We chanced upon this place located in one of Hanoi’s relatively quiet streets and we were pleased to see that it all had want we four wanted. The cafe and bar sits on the second floor of an old repurposed building, accessible through a small, well-lit alley.

The interior is stunning and is decorated more like a gallery of some sort, with repurposed old antiques on one side, and recycled materials on the other. See below:

And that’s just the entrance, the staircase, leading to the foyer.

The inner space is a mix of concrete plasters for a ceiling, and terracota/brick painted walls, with art works that seemed to be placed randomly across vacant spaces. See below:

Drinks were quite okay, but not phenomenal. Will we come back? Probably for the place, and just mainly to hang-out, but not really craving for what’s on the menu.
