Why BlueWater Panglao Feels Like Second Home to Me

Bluewater Panglao in Panglao Island, Bohol, always feels like a second home to me. I know it’s every corner by heart. I have stayed at most of its room types, from the comfortable deluxe rooms lined vertically towards the beach to the pool-side premium deluxe rooms, the two-storey spacious loft, and finally, its pool villas fronting a vast garden. I have enjoyed every one of them.

I know several of its service crew—I have traded stories with them the countless times I stayed there. During the pandemic and the typhoon that devastated Panglao island, Bluewater Panglao was my home for countless Zoom calls because theirs is one of the functioning (and strong) internet and the 24-hour power supply allowed me to work.

I know the beach is not that good, but the serene grounds and free spaces, including its well-designed swimming pools, make up for the lack of a proper beach. And I should say it is one of the cleanest properties on Panglao Island.

The beds are comfortable and the rooms are of ample space. I like working in these rooms and if I get bored sometimes, I go to the beach area, or the pool, or their open-air restaurants. The puto maya and sikwate is really good and are available during breakfast buffets.

But the best thing about Bluewater is its people. They are friendly but not intrusive. They take care of you every step along the way. They are warm and always available to provide your needs.

Definitely worth coming to every time.
